First Time Users of our Blog Site:

1. If you are not already on the Online Retreat page of our website, please go to our website: www.fandj.org and click on the Online Retreat – New! link on the left side of the page.

2. Click on the Blog link either in suggestion #2 or at the bottom of the page. You will see a welcome comment already posted by the admin.

3. In order for you to read and post comments, you will need to login. Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Register on the right side of the page.

4. Type in a Username and your e-mail address and click Register. For security purposes, please feel free to use whatever you are comfortable with, however, we encourage you to at least use your first name.

5. You will see a confirmation page of your registration with the message, “Registration complete. Please check your e-mail.” Log into your e-mail account that you provided and open the message with the subject line: [Friendship & Justice's Online Retreat Blog] Your username and password. The sender will be: wordpress@blog.friendshipandjustice.org.

6. Login to the blog with your username and temporary password. If you wish, you can now logout of your e-mail and close that page.

7. We recommend at this point that you change your password to something easier for you to remember. To do so, click on Update your profile or change your password. In the bottom right box, type in your new password twice. You can also update other options as you like. When finished, click Update Profile.

8. You are now free to read, post, and enjoy.

To Login:

1. If you are not already on the Online Retreat page of our website, please go to our website: www.fandj.org and click on Online Retreat – New! link on the left side of the page.

2. Click on the Blog link either in suggestion #2 or at the bottom of the page. You will see a welcome comment already posted by an admin.

3. In order for you to read and post comments, you will need to login. Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Login on the right side of the page.

4. Type in your username and password and click Login. You should see the Welcome page.

To Read Already Posted Comments:                                                      From the Welcome page, Click on View site at the top of the page.

To Return to the Welcome page:                                                 Click on Site Admin on the bottom right side of the page.

To Post a Comment:

1. From the Welcome page, click on Write a post.

2. Type in your title and post (comment). Feel free to use the editing tools available. When finished, click Save. Repeat this step to post multiple comments.

3. Click on View Post to preview your comment.

4. Click on Edit. Edit your title and/or comment as you wish. Click Save and View Post to preview your comment again. Click Edit. Once you are satisfied with your title and comment, click Publish. Your title and comment are now posted for all other members to see.

To Reply to Someone Else’s Comment:

1. From the Welcome page, click on View site.

2. Under the posting that you want to comment on, click No Comments or Comments (depending on if someone commented on the posting already).

3. Under Leave a Reply, type in your remarks. Click on the Submit Comment box.

4. At this time, replies must be approved by a moderator. An e-mail will be sent to us automatically so we can approve it right away. Please note that all registered users can post their own comments to the site, but not replies to someone else’s comment at this time. Moderators will be checking the email multiple times each week, if not daily, so be assured your reply will be approved quickly.

Two Ways To Logout:

1. From the Welcome page, click on Sign Out in the top right hand corner.

2. From the Site page, click on Logout in the bottom right hand corner box.
